A rare car priced to sell to the right buyer who can take it to the next level. 1961 Studebaker Hawk. This was the last year of the stylish Hawk and it is finished in an attractive factory color-- Flamingo Orange--the only year Studebaker used this color. The engine is strong and starts up every time. Brakes, exhaust, automatic transmission all work well. The paint is good--appears to have been a repaint. There are a few minor paint chips. The chrome and trim are strong--no damage. The interior compartment is very nice and was recently refreshed by a professional upholstery expert. Dashboard controls all work and the dash presents nicely but there are signs of wear. Air conditioning mounted under dash but A/C is currently not blowing cold air. The car does need some work: needs leaf springs and bushings replaced and coil springs (the current springs have had spacers added. While the car frame is structurally solid and there is no rust, there is one area where it apperars as through the car was towed roughly and there is some welding/patch work required. Front wheel bearings are loose. The tires on this car should be replaced too and a new battery should be installed.. The passenger door window track is off. So there is some sorting to do, but overall the car is structuraly sound, a strong motor with lots of power, a presentable and attractive paint and interior.
