Lovely 1973 Mercedes 280se. Classic W108 body style finished in burgundy over a white MB Tex upholstery. This particular example is very well sorted and drives beautifully. Lots of service records are included, both recent and dating back to the 1970’s.
The 4.5 liter fuel injected V8 provides plenty of power to keep up with modern traffic. The automatic transmission shift smoothly. The power windows, locks, lights, and accessories all work. This example also sports the desirable power sunroof.
The body is solid overall. The paint is good, but is starting to show it’s age in spots. We just detailed it and it looks very good overall. The white interior is very nice. The upholstery, carpet, headliner, and door cards are all in very good condition, with the exception of the drivers seat which is showing some wear.
Mechanically the car is very sound. It starts, runs, and drives beautifully! Many of W108 cars have suffered from neglect and deferred service, but this one has been maintained very well. We have the records to show it, but driving the car speaks for itself!
