1966 AMC Ambassador--SOLD (Massachusetts) - $0

1966 AMC Ambassador--SOLD (Massachusetts) - $0

1966 AMC Ambassador. Top of the line AMC Engine valves rebuilt in 2011. Car runs beautifully. Interior in very good condition too. A real pleasure to drive. New carpet installed January 2012. This 1966 AMC Ambassador is a very peppy and fuel-efficient 6 cylinder automatic transmission. The car is a Pennsylvania car--We are the third owners with a well documented history (an entire folder of original receipts over 5 decades from the first two owners). The car was delivered November 15, 1965 to Edward Borst of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Original bill of sale is included from J.G.'s Rambler of Allentown, Penna. Car had these options: automatic transmision, reclining seats, undercoating, light group, wheel discs, bumer guards, ventshades and door guards. Mr. Borst traded in a '63 Rambler for this car. There are a large number of original receipts with the car which show that Mr. Borst owned the car through at least 1972 and the car had about 25,000 miles at 6 years. In the early-to-mid 1970s, Mr. Borst sold the car to Harold Gerhard--also of Bethlehem, Penna,, who owned the car from the mid 1970s until 2010 when it was sold from his estate. No rust or body damage. Seats have period seat covers over original seats. Has original 1966 AMC Owner Protective Maintenance Program. Interior is excellent. Seat covers are in great condition with no rips, stains or tears and appear to have been installed sometime in the 1970s. Headliner, door panel, dash, and parcel shelf are all excellent. Includes Rambler seat belts. Exterior chrome and paint are very good overall--there are few nicks and signs of wear, but nothing major. There is one paint blister/peeling area on the roof, and two blisters on the front headlight top area but otherwise the paint is very good. Car drives exceptionally nice after the engine rebuild. Car also has MacMillan Ring Free Lifetime Warranty covering 20 engine parts--be curious to see if they would still honor it--they are still in business in Allentown, Penna! Despite their popularity in 1966, when was the last time you saw one????!!!!!! Let the other guys drive their Fords and Chevys--but you will definitely be the only one on the road or at your local cruise night in a 60s Ambassador For sale or trade.
