Say hello to Big Bad Orange! Excellent cruiser with recently rebuilt 343 motor expertly done by noted area specialist. Less than 1000 miles since rebuild. Above average quality paint paired with very good original chrome and trim with some light wear. Red line radial tires. Original interior is in very good condition overall with some wear. This example was one of the special paint options that AMC offered in mid-1969. BBO literally stood for Big Bad Orange. The AMX was not only sporty and attractive, but it introduced many industry firsts. The American Society of Automotive Engineers named the AMX as the "Best Engineered Car of the Year" in 1969 and 1970. For its first year recognition, the reasons cited included the car’s dashboard, which was injection-molded in one piece "for safety purposes, an industry first."
