Purchased new in November 1963 by legendary Hollywood actor Charles Bronson and driven by his wife Jill Ireland. This well-documented 1964 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible is one of only 1,870 examples built. Powered by a OHV V8 429cid with 340 horsepower. in addition to an automatic transmission, power brakes and power steering. Recent black paint and a new top and back glass window. Original black leather interior. Loaded with options including a factory air conditioning, cruise control, Twilight Sentinel, automatic climate control, AM/FM radio, power windows and power door locks.
Includes original dealer ID tag from Hillcrest Motor Company, which shows the car was delivered on November 15, 1963 to Charles Bronson, 7414 Franklin Avenue, Hollywood, California. Bronson's wife, actress Jill Ireland describes driving the Cadillac convertible in her book "Life Wish" After Bronson's ownership, the car passed to the Guibord family of Hollywood, who lovingly owned the car for 28 years. During this period of long-term ownership, there are detailed maintenance and service records as part of the car's record. In 1995, the Guibord family sold the car to a collector in Virginia. The family included a detailed letter describing how important the car was to their family and a summary of all services. From 1963 through 1995, the car lived in the same 10 block area of Hollywood. In 1999, the car was then sold to a collector in New England where the car has been carefully maintained and stored since. Always driven in dry summer conditions only. Car comes with notebook of over 40 pages in plastic sleeves, including Bronson ID tag, Jill Ireland article copy talking about driving the car, and over 75 maintenance and service receipts from the 1960s-2000s.
