One of the most recognized icons in the automotive industry, the ''57 Bel Air continued the popular tradition of the ’55 and ’56 models with some new improvements, including more chrome and featured a golden grille set off with a heavy chrome bar that included parking lights. The car featured Glide-Ride front suspension and double-punch 12-volt system.
The rear fins are capped with chrome moldings and highlighted with anodized aluminum side trim panels. The fuel-filler door is even concealed in the left rear chrome fin to clean up the lines of the car. The four door sedan was the most popular model, with over 250,000 examples manufactured and sold. It remains the most popular collector car in history.
