For Sale or Trade About this truck: Only 43,000 miles on the odometer on this wonderful 1951 Ford F1 1/2 ton pickup truck. Older restoration that presents well. Nice respray of the original Vermilion red factory color. Accented with period-correct wide white walls with trim rings. Mechanically sound and a pleasure to drive. Powered by V8 239 CID engine. Attractive interior compartment that is a mix of original and nicely restored elements. Black steering wheel with three one the tree paired with a period after-market directional signal installed on the steering column for shifting. Textured vinyl bench seat that's been professionally installed. Radio not installed in dash, though an original radio (not currently working) comes with the truck. In the bed, there's a restored oak bed with stainless strips. Rear tailgate featured embossed "Ford" logo. About the history of these trucks: The 1951 trucks were restyled with a single bar type grille and a headlight at each end of the grille bar. The grille was painted argent (silver) to complement the chrome headlight bezels. During the model year, the grille was painted ivory and the headlight rings argent (silver). The hood got new side spears and a three slot embellishment at the front. The front bumper was redesigned. A V-8 emblem was used on the upper grille support on corresponding trucks. The pickup bed and tailgate were redesigned. The bed used a hardwood floor instead of the previous all metal floor. The rear window was larger. Door panels were also added. Assembled in Highland Park, MI plant.
