Exceptional 1925 Ford Model T truck. New closed cab wood body custom crafted by noted New England Model T specialist, and recently tuned up by Model T expert. Runs superb. Equipped with desirable two-speed rear axle Ruckstell rear end. Has after-market speedometer. Has traditional banded brake. Upgraded to the more reliable '26-'27 Model T engine, which means the coil box is mounted on the engine to provide better performance. Eagle wing thermometer radiator cap. Rear view mirror. Working headlights. Nice period side lamps. Front folding windshield gives drivers the option for al fresco motoring. Removable side windows. Has new coils. Engine number 1,117,695 built January 28, 1925. Originally purchased in Manchester, Vermont in 1925, this truck was put into service, according to the extensive documentation and receipts that accompany the truck, at Hildene, the summer estate owned by Robert Todd Lincoln, the son of President Abraham Lincoln, who summered in Vermont for decades and passed away the summer after this truck arrived at the estate. Later the truck was used by the Dorset Fire Company and finally returned to the Manchester Ford dealership. About 10 years ago, it was pulled from a barn and thoughtfully restored by several leading specialists. There is a thick folder stuffed with receipts. Total engine rebuild in 2005 by Connecticut Antique Engine Restoration, LLC. Receipts over $6500 for a 5 page itemized list of rebuild. Wooden body rebuild completed in 2012 by Everett Currier Farm, a renowned three generation Model T body builder. Easy financing available. All vehicles are for sale or trade.
