1968 Ford Mustang Coupe For Sale or Trade
Original California car. Same family has owned this car for over 40 years. Father and daughter have carefully cared for the car. Recently recommissioned mechanically. Powered by 302 V8, installed about 10 years ago. Car originally came with 289 but was upgraded by family to the more powerful 302, with badging added. Chrome bumpers are in excellent condition. Trim in very good condition except door handles show some pitting. Interior in excellent condition overall--black vinyl bucket seats with black and silver door panels and black headliner. No cracks on dash. Odometer shows 23600, believed to be 123,600 miles. Comes with clear Minnesota title.
Purchased July 18, 1968 by James Baker of San Juan Capistrano from Bowles Stamp Ford in San Clemente, California -- as shown in original owners manual that comes with the car. Later the car was acquired by a collector in Minnesota who gave it to his daughter for her 16th birthday in the 1970s. The same family--father and daughter--have owned the car since. Always garaged, the car was regularly serviced and comes with extensive collection of receipts and documentation. Recent repairs and upgrades include:
-- New disc brake system installed in 2009. Replaced spindler, rotors, calipers, pads. Installed brake booster, master cylinder, proportioning valve and lines. Replaced RF tie rod end and aligned.
- New power steering control valve and actuator installed Summer 2015.
- New shocks, sway bar links, new transmission gasket and transmission oil change, new spark plugs and wires, cap and rotor, and transmission tail shaft output seal in September 2015.
