Just in.... Superb 1948 Ford Special Deluxe Convertible. Finish in Black with Red and Beige interior. Flathead V8 with 3 speed column shift transmission. Runs and drives beautifully! The body is in great shape overall. The bumpers are strait and clean. The trim is strait with a few minor dings and light pitting scattered about. The tires are bias ply and in good condition. The glass is very good. The the manual top goes up and down with ease and is finished in a tan canvas. (The components to make it a power top are included with the sale, however the current manual set up is much easier and fast to put up and down) The interior is in good over all conditions with some light patina. The beige and red upholstery is great with no rips, tears, or stains. The door cards are in good shape as well. The front vinyl mat is in good condition and believed to be original. The rear floor is carpeted and in good condition. All the gauges work and the lovely analog clock keeps time. The original radio is present, but not currently working. Turn signals were added, as were seat belts for the driver and passenger. (Lap belts only) All the lights work. The flathead V8 Runs beautifully and starts at the push of a button hot or cold. The transmissions shifts easily and the car has plenty of power to keep up with modern traffic. The brakes stop the car strait and true. This is an incredibly charming 40's convertible for a great price! Not to mention it's nearly a dead ringer for Biff Tannen’s ’46 Ford from Back to the Future!
