Great barn find. New transmission and includes the previous one. The previous owner started the restoration of this popular wagon, with the following work completed: 1. Upgraded new parabolic leaf spring. 2. New suspension bushing. 3. New Bilstein shocks. 4. Alternator converted to a 60 amp Delco. 5. "Mean green" starter. 6. New 821 compression ratio cylinder head (1 hour run time). 7. Rochester barrel carburetor 8. Brand new Weber replacement for carburetor. 9.Transmission: is a British MOD series 3. Synchro 1st Gear 10. Transfer case - 200 miles from fresh rebuild. 11. New clutch 12. Installed shoulder inertia seatbelt on front seats. Have rear belts but not installed. 13. New aluminum body skin on rear door. 14. Extra heavy duty hinge on rear door to support tires on rear door. 15. Tire can be mounted on front hood or back door. 16. Safari Roof 17. Frame is in good condition 18. Has rebuilt rear differential Needs right rear wheel brake hose and brake work. Will need new tires. Includes 4 Nato Defender wheels--wider than standard width. Also includes Volume 1 and Volume 2 of service manual and an Illustrated parts manual.
