Remarkable one-family owner Mercury Cougar survivor for sale or trade. On July 28, 1968, a Danish-born artist purchased this Cougar new from Green Lincoln-Mercury on US Route 1 in Langhorne, Pennsylvania for a total price of $2625.11 with financing from Fidelity Bank. Her husband John worked for Ford Motor Company in Camden, New Jersey and he still has the original build sheet. This Cougar 2-door hardtop was order in Polar White with a black interior, Select Shift Mer-o-Matic automatic transmission, courtesy lights, electric clock, Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, AM Radio with Antenna, Decor Group and remote controlled left hand mirror.
This car comes with extensive documentation from new, an example of the attention to detail and pride of ownership for this Cougar. The portfolio includes a 1968 Pennsylvania title, build sheet, bill of sale, and early registrations. It also includes the owners manual, warranty booklet and extensive maintenance and service records. The owner has been a long-time member of the Cougar club. The car has always been garaged and is largely original. In 1985, the owner had new front fenders and quarter panels installed.
Powered by the Mecury 302-2V V8 engine. The interior compartment is all original. The drivers seat does have seam splits in the seat bottom (our Motorland Service Center can repair and/or replace the vinyl). New brake lines to be installed September 2017.
