The last of the line. In 1958, Studebaker-Packard introduced a top of the line two door hardtop called the Packard Hawk, the premium verision of Studebaker's vaunted Hawk series featuring a Duncan McRae-designed fiberglass front end that reminded many an observer of a catfish.
Under the hood of the Packard Hawk is a 275 horsepower in the form a V-8 engine of 289 cubic inches displacement with a Jet-Stream McCullough Supercharger. Promotional literature described the engine as "developed and refined for aircraft, and long used on automotive engines only in racing cars, the supercharger has now been successfully applied by Studebaker-Packard to a family sports car."
The Hawk featured leather upholstery, an Imperial-style Continental trunk lid, and a full range of instrumentation. One of 588 Packard Hawks built, this one is lovely finished in Parchment White with Canyon Copper top and a butterscotch leather interior. In 2013, RM Auctions auctioned a similar Hawk for $88,000. These cars are exceedingly rare and will only appreciate. Only 588 were manufactured, with about 80 known to exist worldwide.

Completely unique and unforgettable, a wide mouth grille. Other unique features include exterior padded armrests along the side windows, a spare tire outline on the rear deck, and gold accent Mylar inserts for the flared tailfins. This is one of the most sought-after, collectable cars of the final years of Packard and Studebaker.
The exterior will stand out with the catfish-like wide mouth grille. The chrome brightwork is in excellent condition, and the golden hawk emblems on the front and rear will turn heads. The interior is a redone, correct smooth leather. The tan carpet is new and correct. The dash is original, with the original gauges including the original factory radio and clock.
Under the hood is a supercharged 289-CID V8 engine capable of producing 275 HP. This rare treasure will help get you there on time with a 0-60 time of 8.0 seconds. This car has been featured in Classic Cars magazine.
