One owner car from new recently required from his estate. Cherished, long time ownership from a local VW enthusiast who purchased the car new in 1968 in Philadelphia area. Car includes the original bill of sale, purchase on June 25, 1968 from Moore Motors, Inc., on North Broad Street in Philadelphia. The base sticker price was $2373, and the only upgrades were an AM/FM radio for $120, white walls, and undercoating with vinyl upholstery. With a $100 deposit, the total amount paid was $2661.58 Over 53 years of ownership, a hefty portfolio of receipts for maintenance, service and repair includes these highlights: * Repainting exterior in 2000 * Meticulous driving logs, noting mileage, gas and oil changes and miles per gallon. * Rebuilt engine in Summer 2000
